Grant Pipeline Report

July 2026

Riverbend Family Services
Prepared by Nicholas Dona
Nomar Grants
Issued 31 Jul 2026
Prepared for board distribution

July was the first full month of pipeline work. Two letters of inquiry went out, to the Miami Valley Community Trust for $40,000 and to the Dayton Regional Foundation for $25,000, both for Home Stable. That puts $65,000 in front of funders, with decisions expected between late September and mid October. Two more LOIs are drafted or drafting for August deadlines. Nothing has been decided yet, and nothing should be expected to be decided yet: on the cycles these funders publish, the earliest realistic answer is late September. The honest read on the month is that the pipeline was built and the first requests are in, which is what month one looks like.

04The funder pipeline

Fit is scored out of 20 across cause, geography, grant size and how open the funder is to a request like ours. Every deadline is checked against the funder's own published page, never an aggregator, and the date it was last checked is shown. Anything checked more than 30 days ago is treated as unverified and is re-checked before it is acted on.

05Outcomes and what we learned

No awards were notified this month, and none were expected. The requests now with funders have stated decision dates in section 3.

No declines were notified this month.

The one decline on record is from before this engagement began, from the Concord Mutual Insurance Foundation in June, and the reason is worth keeping in front of the board: the funder narrowed its 2026 giving to disaster relief in March, after the application went in. That is a guidelines change, not a weakness in the request. We now re-read published guidelines within thirty days of every submission rather than relying on the version we researched. Two Rivers Health Collaborative was retired from the shortlist in July for the same class of reason, found before any time went into a draft rather than after.

07What we need from you

How to read this report. It records the work that was done and the requests that were made. It does not forecast awards. Foundation decisions on the requests above land between three and nine months after submission, so a month with no decisions is a normal month, not a bad one.

Nomar Grants is paid a flat monthly fee, never a percentage of any award, in line with the Grant Professionals Association Code of Ethics. No funding outcome is guaranteed. What is guaranteed is the work: research, drafting, verification and deadlines, all of it listed above.
